SCREECH IN!! Full casting has been announced for the return of the Broadway company of the groundbreaking Award winning smash hit Come From Away. The 9/11 musical’s return will include an amazing lineup of ISLANDERS taking center stage once again on THE ROCK.
From the show’s original cast and the upcoming filmed proshot, the line up will include…..
Joel Hatch as “Claude” and others,
Caesar Samayoa as “Kevin J.”, “Ali”, and others,
Q. Smith as “Hannah” and others,
Astrid Van Wieren as “Beulah” and others,
and
Sharon Donaldson-Wheatley as “Diane” and other.
In addition, fellow original cast member Petrina Bromley will be on a leave of absence for the first few weeks aiming to return to THE ROCK on October 8th, 2021. During that time, her roles of “Bonnie” and others will be played by Pearl Sun.
Along with the original cast, several replacement cast members from the upcoming filmed proshot taking center stage when the show returns to Broadway will include….
De’Lon Grant as “Bob” and others,
and
Paul Whitty as “Oz” and others,
It will also feature real life Niece and Uncle…..
Emily Walton as “Janice” and others
and
Jim Walton as “Nick”, “Doug”, and others.
New to the cast will include…..
James Seol (the original Off Broadway premiere of the upcoming on Broadway bound KPOP) replacing original cast member Chad Kimball as “Kevin T” and others.
Last but not least, also returning to the production is…..
Rachel Tucker (Broadway and West End’s WICKED along with The Last Ship) as “Captain Beverly Bass” (the first female pilot of American Airlines), “Annette”, and others which she received an Olivier Award nomination for her performance in Come From Away‘s London production. At the time of the pandemic, the Ireland born performer had just transferred from London company to our very own Broadway cast.
The Broadway production of COME FROM AWAY is expecting to relaunch performances full time at the Gerald Schonefeld Theatre starting September 21st, 2021. Currently, the show is playing right now in London’s West End and on hold right now in Australia. The US National Tour and sit-down Toronto companies will reopen later this year.
Along with the show returning, fans will be able to experience this powerful show from the comfort of their own homes. As previously mentioned, Apple TV+ will be releasing the highly anticipated proshot filmed production of the show. It’s set to be released on September 10th, 2021.
