Amazon Prime. We at New York Broadway Tours have been meaning to share with you the trailer for this new film.
Jessica Weiss, and
Camila Cabello. It even includes a few notable pop songs covered in the story. Still set in a Fairy Tale kingdom, it is a new modern re-telling of the story with a twist. Under the direction and written by Kay Cannon along with being co-produced by Tony and Emmy winner
James Corden and Leo Pearlman, the cast is led by….
Camilla Cabello in the title role,
Tony and Emmy winner
Billy Porter as “Fab G: The Fairy Godparent”,
Oscar, Emmy, & Golden Globe nominee
Minnie Driver as “The Queen”,
The film was originally shot in London in February 2020. However, it was abruptly shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming resumed last Summer 2020 with extreme safety precautions in place including….
Social Distancing,
Wearing Face Masks (especially when the cameras are not rolling),
Daily Disinfections,
Constant tests (to make sure no one has the coronavirus),
Contact Tracing,
Safety Training Seminars,
Isolation with the different departments,
and Pre-portioned and wrapped refreshments.
With the pandemic, it also delayed the release of the film twice. Originally, it was going to be released in Theaters in February 2021 and then this ongoing month of July 2021. Eventually with extreme restrictions, the movie ended up now going to Amazon Prime.
How stunning is this film?
