FIRST LOOK: THE SHOW MUST GO ON documentary debuts new trailer; Benefit Premiere at Majestic Theatre this August!!

FIRST LOOK: These past 16 1/2 months have truly been a very extreme difficult year for Broadway & Live Theater due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It took effect on so many people. However, the spirit of live Theater always lives on. During this tough time, Theater director Sammi Cannold, Emmy Award®-winning filmmaker Dori Berinstein (Show Business: The Road To Broadway), and Elizabeth Armstrong joined forces to create a brand new powerful documentary for all Theater fans to enjoy.
The documentary entitled THE SHOW MUST GO ON takes Theater lovers on an emotional journey chronicling the race against time to keep the making of Live Theater and the Performing arts alive. Theater was shutdown everywhere except in one place…… South Korea. It follows mainly a group of company members involved in South Korean productions of 2 of Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s legendary musicals….. Cats and The Phantom of the Opera. It also follows Webber fascinated with South Korea’s spirit as part of his ongoing fight for the future of Live Theater. This is an inspirational film about the human spirit…. teamwork, determination, community, and knowing that even in hard times, we’re in this together!!
THE SHOW MUST GO ON will have its world premiere screening on August 9th, 2021 at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre (home of PHANTOM which returns in September 2021). It will also include a set of special appearances and performances from some familiar Broadway faces. Plus, it will serve as a benefit for The Actors Fund.
