Happy Trails to Tony nominee Rory O’Malley who took his final bow as “King George” in the Broadway production of the Tony, Grammy, Drama Desk, and Pulitzer Prize winning smash hit Hamilton: An American Musical.
However, O’Malley’s journey with the hottest ticket on Broadway right now is still not over. Up next, he will be reprising the role on the upcoming US National Tour of HAMILTON. It will launch San Francisco at the SHN: Broadway in San Francisco’s Orpheum Theatre this March for a limited 21 week run. The first National Tour of HAMILTON was also given a name….They will be called THE ANGELICA TOUR (named after everyone’s favorite SCHYLER sister herself).
Taking over for the throne for O’Malley on Broadway beginning tomorrow is Saturday Night Live and The Amanda Show favorite Taran Killam.
Break a leg on the tour Rory and Welcome to Broadway Taran!
Thank you @hamiltonmusical Broadway! So grateful for the experience of a lifetime. Off to California! #AngelicaTour
BYE BYE JERSEY! The curtain just went down for the Broadway production of the Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award winning smash hit Jersey Boys for the final time after 11 years. Since the final curtain call, JERSEY BOYS has become the 12th Longest Running Show in Broadway History (surpassing the original Miss Saigon – Musical). You can catch the National Tour still traveling across North America, in London’s West End (till March 27th, 2017) at the Piccadilly Theatre, and soon to launch a UK Tour later this year.
We were BEGGIN’ the company not to close it on Broadway!! Congratulations to the cast, crew, musicians, and creative team on a triumphant 11 year run. OH WHAT A RUN this has been!!!

The Cast of “Avenue Q” on controlling their puppets. Interview at 692 Broadway in NYC for BUILD Series.
Special thank you to original Jersey Boys cast member Steve Gouveia who told us the real TRUE story about the show’s infamous SATURDAY NIGHT SCREAM tradition begun. The story that Peter Gregus told us on Drew Gehling’s Broadway.com vlog was false. It was a joke. The very next episode of the vlog, Steve made an appearance and said that Peter was drunk.
We heard about this tradition on this vlog and thought it was an interesting story to share on our tours when we pass the August Wilson and Neil Simon Theatre. For those who have came on our tours, we would tell the “F*** YOU BROADWAY” story and that Steve was stressed. This episode of the vlog is Peter’s version of the story….the joke version.
This is the REAL true story of the SATURDAY NIGHT SCREAM. The cast would warm up with the classic NEW YORK, NEW YORK in the dressing about 5 minutes before places every Saturday night. At the end, someone would always yell out “HELLO BROADWAY”! There was no frustration story making Steve screaming “F*** YOU BROADWAY”.
Congratulations to Tony winner Billy Porter (Kinky Boots on Broadway, recently in Shuffle Along on Broadway) who married his lifelong partner Adam Smith. Wishing you the best of happiness and an exciting future.
In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Billy Porter announced his marriage to longtime partner Adam Smith. ?We’re looking forward to understanding and learning how to share your life with somebody,?
