BYE BYE BIRDIE! Dick Gautier (known from TV’s Get Smart) passed away at the age of 85 today. Besides his work on that TV show, he was well known for originating the role of “Conrad Birdie” in the original production of Bye Bye Birdie. He will be missed. RIP Dick and as always WE LOVE YOU CONRAD!

According to Deadline, Dick Gautier, star of BYE BYE BIRDIE and television’s GET SMART, passed away on January 13. He was 85. Gautier’s wife, Tess Thompson, reportedly announced the actor’s passing with a brief Facebook post.

So sad to see JERSEY BOYS end after 11 years. Let’s hope the SCREAM tradition continues when Groundhog Day Musical moves into the August Wilson.Last night the cast of JERSEY BOYS Broadway participated in their final (sigh) “Saturday Night Scream” with our talented and fluffy across the street friends at CATS on Broadway. Ready the tissues and enjoy this most excellent final Saturday Night Scream. First up are the kitties, followed by your beloved cast of JERSEY BOYS.

Up next for the smash hit play about a dysfunctional family on Thanksgiving will be a coast to coast US Tour set to launch later this year in 2017.

Lionsgate Sees Possible Live Stage Show for ‘La La Land’ Musical


Lionsgate is eyeing possible plans to bring the hottest musical film out right now La La Land (which won 7 Golden Globes last week including Best Picture) as a stage musical. If it works on stage, the plans is to possibly tour with the show. Could it work on the stage and possibly hit Broadway as well?

OH WHAT A SAD NIGHT! Today is a bittersweet and emotional day for the Broadway community as we say farewell to the Tony, Olivier, and Grammy Award winning smash hit musical Jersey Boys (The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons). Following it’s final curtain call at the August Wilson Theatre, JERSEY BOYS will have played a total of 4,642 performances. It is currently the 12th Longest Running Show in Broadway History.

We are BEGGIN’ to not let this show leave Broadway. However, productions will still continue to run worldwide including the current North American National Tour, London’s West End (now till March 26th, 2017), and soon to launch a UK National Tour in December 2017.

Congratulations to the entire the entire cast, crew, musicians, and creative team for an incredible 11 year run on Broadway. This show will be forever and for always TO GOOD TO BE TRUE. WE CAN’T TAKE OUR EYES OFF OF YOU!

Due to low ticket sales, low audience attendance, awful responses from the audience from all the changes from the last few years, and prolonged battles with animal rights group, the iconic American family show that everyone anxiously awaits to come to town is coming to an end after 147 years. This May, America says farewell to the legendary Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus: THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH.
