In addition, the EP soundtrack to the upcoming TV movie remake is now available to download on iTunes. It features all 6 songs that are expecting to be heard in the film all performed by Menzel. The only 2 songs from the original film that will appear in the remake are THE GLORY OF LOVE and THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS. The rest are all new original songs written especially for the film.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY: In 1996, Disney Channel and ABC Television Network presented an abridged TV version of Beauty and the Beast that featured a combination of ice skating and live music. The special was entitled BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: A CONCERT ON ICE. The cast featured a lineup of Olympic and World Champion skaters skating along to the music we all know from the animated film and the Broadway musical version which was performed by veterans from the Broadway and LA productions of Beauty and the Beast.

BREAKING NEWS: Full casting has been announced for the upcoming original 1940’s swing musical Bandstand Broadway starring 2 time Tony nominee Laura Osnes, Corey Cott, and Tony winner Beth Leavel.
As previously mentioned, BANDSTAND will begin previews on March 31st, 2017 and open April 26th, 2017 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

The Glee, Allegiance – A New Musical, and Godspell star has been on a temporary leave of absence from the show for a month and a half due to a family emergency. Colin Hanlon (recently in the revival of Falsettos on Broadway) has been filling in for Leung in the role of “Steven”.
With Leung returning, no possible plans have been made at the time being for the actor to join the cast of Aladdin – The Musical.

This production of SUNSET BOULEVARD (based on the acclaimed production recently performed in London’s West End from the English National Opera) is a semi-staging production featuring a 40 piece orchestra on the stage (making it the largest Broadway orchestra for the first time in 80 years). The revival is a limited 16 week engagement at Broadway’s Palace Theatre. Previews will begin February 2nd, 2017, Open on February 9th, 2017, and run till May 28th, 2018.
