TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE NEWS! Casting has been revealed a few weeks ago for the return of the Tony and Grammy Award winning smash hit Jersey Boys WORKING ITS WAY BACK to the Big Apple next month!!
Under the direction of 2 time Tony winner Des McAnuff and choreographed by Tony winner Sergio Trujillio, the show’s returning cast members will include its main FOUR SEASONS that were all doing the show together prior to the shutdown. They also have played the role on the road. That line up will consist of… ….
Aaron De Jesus (who also appeared on the National Tours of WICKED, The Lion King, and Spamalot) as singing sensation “Frankie Valli“,
Cj Pawlikowski (National Tour The Book of Mormon) as acclaimed singer-songwriter “Bob Gaudio” which he will also play in the upcoming Live TV production of Jersey Boys (opposite Nick Jonas),
John Rochette as Bad Boy band member “Tommy DeVito“,
and
Jonathan Cable as bass playin’ “Nick Massi”.
Plus a Full ensemble.
JERSEY BOYS is set to have audiences WALK LIKE A MAN once again on the Great Bright Way this Fall and is here to STAY after 20 months dark. The show is set to reopen OFF Broadway at New World Stages beginning November 15th, 2021.

THE LEHMAN TRILOGY finally reaches long awaited Broadway Opening Night!!

Discover the legacy of one of the world’s successful banks during its rise and Fall. Tonight, the ON Broadway debut of Stefano Massini’s Olivier nominated smash hit Off Broadway and West End 3-person play The Lehman Trilogy (starring Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley, and Adrian Lester) reaches its long awaited official Opening Night tonight at the Nederlander Theatre.
This production (directed by Tony and Oscar winner Sam Mendes) initially was set to have its Opening Night on March 26th, 2020. However, the plug was pulled on it due to the COVID-19 pandemic causing Broadway to go dark. At the time of the shutdown, it only performed almost a week of previews. It recently returned being able to complete its full 2 1/2 weeks of previews.
The Lehman Trilogy will run on Broadway for a limited engagement through January 2nd, 2022.

BREAKING NEWS: Get ready to ring in THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR with the ANGEL OF MUSIC herself…. The Phantom of the Opera‘s original leading lady Sarah Brightman will be airing her critically acclaimed Virtual Holiday concert A CHRISTMAS SYMPHONY on PBS beginning this week.
Filmed live from the Christ Church, Spitalfields in London and accompanied by members of the Orchestra & Choir of Trinity College, fans can expect to hear an unforgettable versatile setlist from the World’s Best Selling Soprano. The concert features Brightman performing a full selection of Christmas favorites including songs from her 2008 holiday album A WINTER SYMPHONY and her previous solo album HYMN.
In addition, Brightman is also be joined by special guests…..
Celebrated Welsh singer Aled Jones,
acclaimed choral group Gregorian (which Sarah has continued to perform with on and off),
and
a special appearance by the legendary Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber (Brightman’s ex-husband and still lifelong friend) performing the beautiful CHRISTMAS DREAM (written by Lloyd Webber and Sir Tim Rice).
The livestreamed was seen on 4 continents and earned critical praise. It also gave Sarah herself a change of heart with preparing to head back on tour in the United States. Originally planning to reschedule several concerts in Asia and the 2nd leg of North American dates of her HYMN World Tour, Brightman scrapped that whole tour and decided to bring a new tour in for the holidays…. It will now be The A CHRISTMAS SYMPHONY Tour.
With the new tour, Sarah will perform majority of the songs from the special along with also including many of her greatest hits including the titular song from THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and the beautiful TIME TO SAY GOODBYE.

BREAKING NEWS: THE ROOTS’ Black Thought to debut new Musical BLACK NO MORE Off Broadway this Winter 2022!!!

BREAKING NEWS: Grammy winner Tariq Trotter (a.k.a. Black Thought) is set to make his Musical Theater debut next month. The Roots founder and acclaimed musician has been composing and set to star in a musical adaptation of the best selling 1931 novel BLACK NO MORE.
The production will make its WORLD PREMIERE Debut Off Broadway at The Pershing Square Signature Center’s Irene Diamond Stage for a limited engagement from January 11th February 27th, 2022.
Under the direction of Scott Elliot and choreographed by Tony winner Bill T. Jones (Broadway’s original Spring Awakening and Fela), BLACK NO MORE takes places during the Harlem Renaissance. The story follows a man who attempts to use a mysterious machine that guarantees to “solve the American race problem”—by turning Black people white. Along with Trotter’s score, the show will also feature a book by Oscar winner John Ridley (12 Years a Slave).

FIRST LOOK: 2021 has truly been the ultimate year of Movie Musicals making a comeback. We are so happy to share with you the 2nd and major official trailer for the highly anticipated film adaptation of Jonathan Larson‘s powerful autobiographical musical Tick, Tick, Boom.
This new movie marks the film directing debut of Award winning mastermind Lin-Manuel Miranda. For the Hamilton and In The Heights creator, this all comes at a full circle moment. After seeing the original production of Rent on Broadway, Miranda looked at the show as an inspiration to create shows featuring the music of today and even taking place now. He also previously played the late composer in the 2014 New York City Center Encore production of the show.
