ON THE MARQUEE: Off Broadway’s Vineyard Theatre is set to bring 2 of its critically acclaimed productions to the Great Bright Way this Fall. As part of its REPERTORY ON BROADWAY series, these plays consist of Tina Satter’s Is This A Room and Lucas Hnath’s Dana H.
One of our amazing friend and followers was so kind once again to share these incredible photos taken featuring updated front of house billboards outside the series soon-to-be home at Broadway’s legendary Lyceum Theatre.
PLEASE NOTE: Both these plays are extremely intense but powerful dramas.
IS THIS A ROOM (led by Emily Davis) will begin preview performances September 24th, 2021 and will officially open on October 11th, 2021.
DANA H (a one woman show starring Deidre O’Connell) will start its previews October 1st, 2021 and will open October 17th, 2021.
Vineyard’s REPERTORY ON BROADWAY will alternate BOTH these productions for a limited run through January 16th, 2022.

Under the direction of Saheem Ali, get ready to experience one of William Shakespeare‘s notable comedies in a whole new way for this generation. Set in South Harlem, amidst a vibrant and eclectic community of West African immigrants, it’s a celebration of New York City about tricks of the heart .Filmed at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park, MERRY WIVES features an unbelievable all-black cast led by…..

MERRY WIVES originally began its summer long engagement last month on July 6th, 2021. It had its official opening night on August 6th, 2021 where it will continue to run through September 18th, 2021 at the Delacorte Theatre.
The production has earned rave reviews from critics and audiences everywhere. Truly one of the most powerful productions to celebrate the return of our New York Theater scene after a rough 17 months.
An official airing date on PBS will be announced at a later time.

All of this goes to our Broadway Theater scene, Restaurants, Metropolitan Transportation Authority, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, major Businesses, Schools, and more.
For our Broadway Theater community, they will be going for only people who have been fully vaccinated….. That consists of your fellow audience members along with everyone involved with the productions….. cast, crew, musicians, creative team, staff, and more.
However for young Children along with those with medical or religious beliefs, you need to show a result of NEGATIVE on both a PCR test and RAPID test within six hours of a performance.
Please remember, this is continue to help fight against this ongoing horrific spread of the coronavirus and delta variant. We’re in this together!!!

This once in a lifetime exhibit will give Show Business fans a chance to see the all those unforgettable details and craftsmanship that most people see from sitting far away up-close. Even real costume makers and experts will be your guides demonstrating the techniques and skills and interacting with guests, and multimedia elements will provide a rare opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the process. You can expect to see costumes from some of Broadway’s hottest tickets past and present including….
This exhibit is also serving as a benefit to raise money for the Costume Industry Coalition Recovery Fund, which continues to support one of the hardest hit sectors of the entertainment industry…. especially after this past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
SHOWSTOPPERS will be a limited engagement from now through September 26th, 2021 on 234 West 42nd Street…. the former site of the Modell’s Sporting Goods store there.

The Public’s MERRY WIVES cancels 2 performances; Company members test Positive for COVID-19!!

Merry Wives - Free Shakespeare in the Park
BREAKING NEWS: The Public Theater‘s Shakespeare in the Park’s production of MERRY WIVES have cancelled tonight and tomorrow’s performances at Central Park‘s Delacorte Theatre. It was just reported that a company member has tested POSITIVE for COVID-19. No word has been said if it was a cast or crew member.
With canceling these next 2 performances, the full cast, crew, and staff will once again be dealing with self-isolation and further COVID-19 testing that’s needed. All of this is for the company’s safety and health. Details on the contact will be fully revealed later.
This is a reminder to everyone (even those who have taken the COVID-19 vaccine) to keep following ongoing COVID-19 safety precautions….. Social Distant and continue to wear your face mask!!
