TIME TO DANCE!!!! It has just been announced that full casting has been revealed for the highly anticipated National Tour of the Tony Award nominated smash hit musical comedy The Prom. Expecting to come to a city near you will feature an unforgettable lineup of familiar faces from the Broadway production and newbies.
Under the direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw, the cast will be led by….
newcomer Kaden Kearney taking on the role of the inspiring and determined “Emma Nolan”
Kalyn West will play the popular and smart but closeted “Alyssa Greene” (a role she previously understudied in the Broadway production),
Broadway favorite Courtney Balan taking on the role of the iconic and legendary “Dee Dee Allen” (a role she previously understudied in the Broadway production),
Broadway veteran Patrick Wetzel as the commanding and triumphant “Barry Glickman”,
Emily Borromeo (previously on the School of Rock National Tour and appeared Off Broadway in Broadway Bounty Hunter) as longtime Broadway dancer and aspiring leading lady with ZAZZ herself “Angie Dickinson”,
Broadway favorite Bud Weber as Julliard graduate and struggling non-Equity actor “Trent Oliver”,
Sinclair Mitchell (previously in Disney’s The Lion King) as the supportive and caring High School Principal “Mr. Hawkins”,
Ashanti J’aria (currently in Chicken and Biscuits) as no-nonsense and bigoted homophobe head of the Board of Education herself “Mrs. Greene”,
Shavey Brown (recently on the National Tour of My Fair Lady) as Broadway publicist “Sheldon Saperstein”,
and
a Full Ensemble.
THE PROM National Tour is set to play a year long run in a city near you. It will kick off in Cleveland, OH starting November 2nd, 2021. From there, it’s set to PARTY its way into the following cities…
