BREAKING NEWS: The nominations for this year’s Olivier Awards have just been announced. Some of our very own shows from Broadway currently wowing London audiences are nominated including the West End production of Hamilton: An American Musical which received the record breaking 13 Nominations.
Additional Broadway shows that made it to London’s West End that are nominated include last year’s Tony winning Best Play Lincoln Center Theater’s Oslo (received 2 nominations), An American in Paris UK (received 3 nominations), Angels in America which currently just transferred to Broadway (received 7 nominations), and our very own 6 time Tony winner Audra McDonald is nominated for her performance in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill (which she transferred to London for Broadway) as Best Actress.
For those who may not know, the Olivier Awards is basically the Tony Awards for British Theatre. It’s named after Laurence Olivier It’s set to be held at London’s Royal Albert Hall on April 8th, 2018.
