In honor of the announcement of Tony winner Sutton Foster returning to Broadway in the upcoming revival of The Music Man on Broadway, check out this little throwback to the celebrated performer performing alongside her soon-to-be leading man fellow Tony winner Hugh Jackman at the 2014 Tony Awards,
During the moment right before the winner of Best Leading Actress in a Musical was revealed (which went to Jessie Mueller in Beautiful – The Carole King Musical), Jackman went into the audience to serenade each of the 5 actresses who were nominated (instead of doing the usual presentation). One of them was Foster (who was nominated for her performance in the recent ON Broadway debut of Violet). The 2 shared a beautiful romantic song and dance.
The new revival of THE MUSIC MAN is scheduled to begin Preview performances on September 9th, 2020, and open on October 22nd, 2020 at a to-be-determined Shubert Organization house.
