BREAKING NEWS: Couldn’t get to see 2 time Tony Award nominee and Broadway sweetheart Laura Osnes in Bandstand Broadway? No worries because she is set to headline a week of solo shows at the end of this month at the Caf? Carlyle.

Her new solo show will be all Rodgers & Hammerstein songs entitled COCKEYED OPTIMISTS accompanied by Tony and Drama Desk Award winning orchestrator and music director Ted Sperling. In addition, she will be joined by special guest acclaimed Broadway vocalist Ryan Silverman. The shows will run from September 26th – 30th, 2017.

As many of us know, Osnes is so stranger to the world of Rodgers & Hammerstein, the legendary iconic composers who changed the faces of American Musical Theatre. She starred as “Nellie” (temporary from a pregnant Kelli O’Hara) in the Tony winning Lincoln Center Theater revival of South Pacific, as “Suzy” in New York City Center Encores’ presentation of Pipe Dream, she played “Maria” in an acclaimed concert presentation of The Sound Of Music at Carnegie Hall as “Julie Jordan” in the Lyric Opera of Chicago’s production of Carousel, and of course well known as playing the title role in the official Broadway premiere of Cinderella the Musical at the Broadway Theatre (which she received her 2nd Tony nomination).

The show will mark as Osnes’ 2nd time performing in the legendary venue part of the Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. She made her solo debut there in 2012 (following Bonnie & Clyde A New Musical on Broadway and right before Cinderella. In addition, the concert was recorded for a live (and her debut) album entitled DREAM A LITTLE DREAM. The album features some of her favorite songs to perform from a career or in general. In addition, the album features special guests Osnes’ husband Nathan Johnson as well as Tony nominees Tom Wopat and Jeremy Jordan.
