More Broadway updates of what’s been happening these last few days.
Earlier last week, Abby Mueller and Evan Todd both joined the Broadway cast of the Award winning smash hit Beautiful – The Carole King Musical at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre as the new “Carole King” and “Gerry Goffin”. They took over from Chilina Kennedy and Jake Epstein who played their final performances on March 5th, 2017. Break legs to Abby and Evan on an incredible SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL run together.
PLEASE NOTE: Abby Mueller will be playing a limited 6 month engagement in the Broadway production. She is filling in for Chillina Kennedy, who is taking a leave of absence from the New York cast to be part of the Toronto engagement (her hometown) on the show’s National Tour this summer. Kennedy will rejoin the Broadway cast this Fall.
FUN FACT: Abby Mueller is no stranger to the world of BEAUTIFUL and playing the Grammy winning singer/songwritter. She previously originated the role for the National Tour. Most of all, her sister is the show’s original Broadway “Carole” herself Jessie Mueller (who won a 2014 Tony Award for her performance).
