a full Ensemble.
No word was said though who from the Ensemble will be playing the role of “Janet Lundy” The role was initially performed by the late Doreen Montalvo who sadly passed away last year from a stroke. It breaks our heart for the entire company of MRS. DOUBTFIRE. However, we know every performance will be a dedication to this celebrated performer. RIP.
Following a successful out-of-town tryout in Seattle in 2019, MRS. DOUBTFIRE: THE MUSICAL originally began Broadway previews on March 9th, 2020 and was slated to have its Opening Night on April 5th, 2020. However, the entire production was abruptly shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic after only 3 preview performances here on the Great Bright Way.
However, it will be back stronger than ever AS LONG AS THERE IS LOVE. The show will resume Broadway previews on October 21st, 2021 and finally reach its official Opening Night on December 5th, 2021 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
Who is excited?!!!
