Today is a bittersweet day as Adam Jacobs takes one official final carpet ride ever as the title role in Disney’s Award winning smash hit Aladdin – The Musical.

For Adam Jacobs, he has been playing the beloved STREET RAT turned PRINCE since the show’s early incarnations and world premiere production back in 2010 in Seattle, Washington at The 5th Avenue Theatre. 2 1/2 years later, he went on to be part of the 2013 out of town tryout in Toronto, Canada at the Ed Mirvish Theatre. From there, he then officially opened the Broadway company (still playing to packed houses 8 times a week at the New Amsterdam Theatre) earning rave reviews along with a Tony and Drama Desk nomination. Jacobs stayed with the Broadway company for 3 1/2 years before spending this past whole year on the National Tour. His final bow today is on the tour’s current stop (also ending today) in Los Angeles, California at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre.

Beginning next week, the show will continue on to Denver, Colorado at the Buell Theatre with Jacobs’ understudy and Tour Ensemble member Clinton Greenspan taking over the role of “Aladdin” fulltime.

Thank you Adam for taking us to A WHOLE NEW WORLD and we are PROUD OF THIS BOY indeed. You will be missed and we’re so excited about everything that is coming up next in your career. Happy Trails!!!

Break a leg to Clinton and congratulations on moving to full time star.
