Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS


The curtain just went down on the 32nd Annual Easter Bonnet Competition at the Minskoff Theatre. Revealing the grand total of how much Broadway, Touring, and the entire Theater community made for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS…. For the Spring Red Buckets Fundraising, the Theater world made $5,721, 879 all for BC/EFA. CONGRATS!!!

For those who may not know, the Easter Bonnet Competition is a friendly competition show that the Theater community puts together to raise money for BC/EFA. During the competition, shows will put together their own original piece or do a parody of another show ending with a Bonnet headpiece to go with the them. In addition, they also present awards which are given out to the shows that raised the most money during the 6 weeks of Spring Red Buckets collection.

The next Red Buckets fundraising will begin around November 2018 to kick off the 2018 into 2019 Holiday season.

BREAKING NEWS: At yesterday’s 2017 Broadway Flea Market, the Theater community broke the record of $1,023,309 in raising money for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

For all those who went to the 2017 Broadway Flea Market yesterday, we hope all of you had such a wonderful time. For those who went, share with us the items your bought.
