American Idol Winner David Cook Will Make Broadway Debut in Kinky Boots

BREAKING NEWS: EVERYBODY SAY YEAH to Amercian Idol winner and acclaimed recording artist David Cook as he about to make his way to the Great White Way this Spring. He is set to make his Broadway Debut in the cast of the Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award winning smash hit Kinky Boots on Broadway taking on the role of “Charlie Price” from the Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears (who departs April 1st, 2018).

David Cook’s run in the Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper musical will be a strictly limited run from April 3rd, 2018 through May 5th, 2018 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

The smash hit Broadway show Waitress the Musical will have the show’s iconic blue waitress uniform now be changed to pink at all performances this October only. Check out the cast showing off the new costumes that will be worn at all October performances at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

In addition, the show will team up with the Susan G. Komen Greater NYC organization and will relaunch it’s Waitress Pie Challenge where you can challenge someone to either pay and get a messy pie in the face. Also, there will be some Charity auctions for some awesome WAITRESS swag.

Legendary Barbara Cook Has Passed Away at 89


BREAKING NEWS: Today we lost a legend. Tony Award winner Barbara Cook Official passed away at the age of 89 due to respiratory failure.

Barbara Cook was considered as one of the most legendary voices in the Golden Age of Musical Theatre and Opera. She originated some of the most beloved and iconic leading lady roles ever written for the stage including “Marian The Librarian” in The Music Man (which she received the Tony Award for), “Amalia” in She Loves Me, and “Cunegonde” in Candide. In addition, Cook has won numerous Grammy Awards and played sold out concerts in numerous venues including Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, and The Metropolitan Opera (which she made history as the first ever Musical Theatre star to be presented in concert by the Met). In addition, Barbara Cook opened the door and inspired many Musical Theatre artists we all know today including Kristin Chenoweth, Laura Benanti, and much more.

Let’s give our love, applause, and standing ovation as we remember this iconic performer. BRAVO!!!!
