BREAKING NEWS: Due to construction in the Shubert Alley, BROADWAY BARKS 2019 sadly has been cancelled this year.
The breezeway's annual animal shelter event (created by Award winning stage and screen legends Bernadette Peters and the late Mary Tyler Moore) helping dogs and cats get adopted into new happy homes was initially scheduled for July 13th, 2019. However, it will return Summer 2020.
However, Bernadette Peters along with Tony winners Laurie Metcalf and Santino Fontana created a special video to express their sadness over the cancellation but ways on how you can still get the opportunity to adopt a new dog or a cat. No matter what, so important to take care and help animals in need.

The Broadway bound The Cher Show just experienced a crazy day for the final performance of its world premiere out of tryout in Chicago a few hours ago. Apparently, there was no full length final closing show.
A technical problem occurred moments before the show began at the Windy City’s Oriental Theatre. 2 time Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block (who plays the Diva era of “Cher” known as “Lady”) and some of the producers took center stage to address the issue and announce the final performance was cancelled. However to not let the audience down, the entire cast changed out of costume into their casual clothing and performed a mini concert of 4 songs from the show for the audience.
THE CHER SHOW is set to head its way back to New York City to gear up for its official Broadway Debut this Fall. Those GYPSIES, TRAMPS, & THIEVES will be making their way into the Neil Simon Theatre, Previews are set to begin November 1st, 2018 and Opening Night set for December 3rd, 2018.
So sorry for the entire cast, crew, musicians, and creative team to not experience a full final closing performance of its Pre-Broadway tryout.

BroadwayWorld has learned that The Cher Show cancelled its final performance in Chicago, which was set for today, due to a technical issue. Multiple reports on social media state that a mini concert was performed in lieu of the full production, including 4 songs.

BREAKING NEWS: Due to a scheduling conflict, Betsy Wolfe has dropped out of the revival of Carousel on Broadway. No word has been announced on who will replace Wolfe (currently starring as “Jenna” in Waitress the Musical) in the iconic role of “Carrie Pipperidge”. So sad for Betsy.
The revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel will play Broadway’s Imperial Theatre. Previews begin on February 28th, 2018 and Opening Night set for April 12th, 2018.

BREAKING NEWS: Due to some horrific rioting and screaming outside the Al Hirschfeld Theatre stage door, Brandon urie (currently starring in Kinky Boots on Broadway till next Sunday, August 6th, 2017) is giving up signing autographs and taking selfies with fans for the remainder of his run. We at New York Broadway Tours feel so bad for him having to deal with this terrifying nightmare of people yelling in his face, pushing, and fighting. Performers have lives too!! He just wowed you for 2 1/2 hours. Let him breathe!!!

BRING ON THE TONY QUITTERS: Due to low ticket sales, Paula Vogel’s acclaimed play Indecent on Broadway (which took home 2 Tony Awards this past Sunday night including BEST DIRECTION OF A PLAY) is set to close on June 25th, 2017 at the Cort Theatre following 15 previews and 79 regular performances. Up next for the show will be productions across the country. Who is sad to see another powerful show go?!
