SCHOOL OF ROCK Welcomes New Cast Members Including Katherine McLaughlin, Matthew Jost, & More

There’s a new head principal and a set of students at HORACE GREEN. We are so excited to welcome a new set of cast members to Broadway company of the smash hit School of Rock the Musical beginning July 30th, 2018 at the Winter Garden Theatre.

Newcomer Katherine McLaughlin will make her Broadway Debut as the new leading lady taking over the role of “Principal Rosalie Mullins”,

A Bronx Tale The Musical original cast member Hudson Loverro will take over the role of the flamboyant stylist “Billy”,

Layla Capers will take over as aspiring singer “Tomika”,

Darrow Golub will become the new young security kid “James”,

Matthew Jost will become “Zack the guitarist”,

Jordan Cole will take over as “Lawrence the keyboardist”,

Nirvaan Pal will take over as technician “Mason”,

and Theodora Silverman and Duke Cutler will become the new Swings,

The show’s current cast members Analisa Leaming, John Allyn, Gabrielle Greene, Jim Kaplan, Ellie Kim, Colin Lauri, Cory Logan, Iggy Rosado and Zachary Zwelling will all graduate from HORACE GREEN and take their final bows on July 29th, 2018.

Cast Calls Out Audience Members for Watching World Cup During Show… In The Front Row

UH OH!! Those Theater Rascals are at it again. The latest victim of horrible Theater Etiquette came in Nottingham, England from some rude patrons IN THE FRONT ROW who were watching THE WORLD CUP (England Vs Columbia) at a performance of the current UK Touring production of Maury Yeston’s Titanic. Cast members took to social media to call them out.

Starting tomorrow, July 5th, 2018, Gerald Caesar will graduate from swing to Principal role taking on the role of “Tyrome”, Caesar succeeds Bradley Gibson, who left earlier this week to gear up in becoming Broadway’s newest “Simba” in The Lion King – Musical,

Also beginning tomorrow, July 15th, 2018 will be newcomer Frankie Leoni taking over the role of “Young Calogero”. He succeeds original cast member Hudson Loverro, who also left earlier this week.

Starting July 17th, 2018, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical’s Kimber Elayne Sprawl will take over the female lead role of “Jane”. She succeeds Christiani Pitts, who plays her final performance on July 15th, 2018 to gear up for her newest leading role “Ann Darrow” in the upcoming King Kong on Broadway which opens later this Fall,

and finally the show’s creator Oscar nominee Chazz Palminteri has extended his run through the final performance as “Sonny” (the role he created in his one man play and the film). He will continue to do the weekday performances but also include Sundays (and certain Saturday performances). Original cast member Nick Cordero departed the show earlier this week.

A BRONX TALE is set to play its final Broadway performance at the Longacre Theatre on August 5th, 2018. Following the final bow, the show will have played 29 previews and 700 regular performances.

ROCKTOPIA Producers Under Fire for Offering Unfair Wages to Chorus Members

BREAKING NEWS: The upcoming Broadway concert Rocktopia is experiencing drama because the show’s producers are giving members of the show’s Chorus a very low payment rage and not giving them a professional Equity contract.

Actors’ Equity Association reported that the producers are paying the chorus members a small minimum low as $215 per week.

ROCKTOPIA is scheduled to play a strictly limited 6 week run at the Broadway Theatre. Previews begin on March 20th, 2018, Opening Night set for March 27th, 2018, and will run through April 29th, 2018.
