MATILDA FILM OUT DECEMBER 2022 ON NETFLIX

ATTENTION MAGGOTS! The upcoming film adaptation of the Award winning smash hit Matilda The Musical has officially announced its release date.

Under the direction of Matthew Warchus, the new film (led by Alisha Weir, Emma Thompson, Lashana Lynch, and more) will be released on Netflix this Holiday season!!! It will also play Theaters only in the UK beginning December 2nd, 2022.

More excitement for the release of the new film adaptation of In The Heights out in 3 DAYS. The film not only has an incredible lineup of newbie talents stepping into the world of THE BARRIO….. there are some familiar faces from the musical’s life on Broadway taking part in this film….. including several original cast members. One of them Olga Merediz who stars as everyone’s favorite spiritual, wise, and caring neighbor of Washington Heights herself….. “Abuela Claudia”.

Merediz is the ONLY original principal cast member who is reprising her performance for the film. Her performance in the Broadway production earned her a 2008 Tony nomination for BEST PERFORMANCE BY A FEATURED ACTRESS… More

Debra Messing Joins Jason Robert Brown’s 13 Film Adaptation

BREAKING NEWS: Emmy Award winner Debra Messing (TV’s Will & Grace and Smash along with coming to Broadway next year in Birthday Candles) has been tapped to join the cast of Netflix‘s upcoming movie musical adaptation of Jason Robert Brown‘s 13.

In the new Tamra Davis directed film, Messing will play “Mrs, Goldman”, the newly divorced mother of the musical’s central character “Evan” (played by Eli Golden). This is a newly created role for this film. “Mrs. Goldman” is mentioned various times throughout the musical …. she gets “Evan” away from, divorces his father, and together move out to Indiana.

13 is currently in rehearsals. Cameras start rolling next month in Toronto, Canada.
