Yesenia Ayala (last seen in the revival of Carousel on Broadway and who will also be appearing in the upcoming 2020 film remake of West Side Story) in the standout role of the feisty and caring shark girl "Anita",
Amar Ramasar (New York City Ballet dancer and recently in the revival of Carousel) as Shark leader "Bernardo",
Ben Cook (Mean Girls on Broadway and who will be seen in the upcoming 2020 film remake of West Side Story) will play the athletic and very short-fused leader of the Jets himself "Riff",

The new revival of West Side Story will be snapping and MAMBO its way the Broadway Theater (currently the home of King Kong on Broadway now through August 18th, 2019). Previews are set to begin December 10th, 2019 and Opening Night Scheduled for February 6th, 2020.
For the film, it's scheduled to be released December 18th, 2020 from 20th Century Fox.

COME WHAT MAY!!! Everyone is raving over the stage adaptation of the Oscar winning film Moulin Rouge now on Broadway in previews. Earlier today, the show's principal cast (led by Broadway heartthrob Aaron Tviet, Tony winner Karen Olivo, Tony nominee Danny Burstein, West End star Tam Mutu, and more) took time out of their hectic daytime rehearsal schedule and 8 shows a week for an opportunity to meet the press.
The press meeting was held on the stage of the show's home at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. For fans, it was a chance for everyone to get a first look at Scenic Designer Derek McLane's truly SPECTACULAR, SPECTACULAR set.
Moulin Rouge The Musical officially opens on Broadway on July 25th, 2019.

BREAKING NEWS: Due to low ticket sales, it has just been announced that the acclaimed revival of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune (starring Tony winner Audra McDonald and Oscar nominee Michael Shannon) will end its strictly limited engagement little earlier than expected.
Instead of it's initial final performance on August 25th, 2019, the production will now close on July 28th, 2019 at the Broadhurst Theatre. Following the final bow, this revival will have played 26 previews and 70 regular performances.

DELICIOUS NEWS: It has just been announced that acclaimed Broadway and West End star Mark Evans (most recently seen in The Play That Goes Wrong) is set to join the Broadway company of the Tony and Grammy nominated smash hit Waitress the Musical this month.
Beginning July 23rd, 2019 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, Evans will take over the role of the hottest doctor in town…. "Dr. Pomatter". He joins on the same day as the previously announced Alison Luff (WICKED The Musical, Les Mis?rables US, and recently seen in Escape to Margaritaville: The Musical) who takes over the lead role of pregnant pie maker "Jenna".
The show's current leads Erich Bergen and Shoshana Bean will both take their final bows on July 21st. 2019.
