BREAKING NEWS: Acclaimed composer, arranger, and orchestrator Sid Ramin has passed away today at the age of 100. He was best well known for his arrangements for some of the most iconic musicals including Gypsy, West Side Story, Wonderful Town, I Can Get It For You Wholesale, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Jerome Robbins' Broadway, and Crazy For You. He also was known for creating the theme music for The Patty Duke Show, Candid Camera, and All My Children. RIP Sid. Thoughts?

BREAKING NEWS: Following a triumphant sold out 2015-2016 OFF Broadway run, Cagney The Musical will be making its long awaited arrival to performing ON Broadway.
Before it even heads officially to the Great White Way, the show will have a Pre-Broadway run with the Pioneer Theatre Company in Salt Lake City, Utah this Fall. Under the direction of Bill Castellino and choreographed by Tony nominee Joshua Bergasse, the production is set to run from September 20th through October 5th, 2019.
In addition, the cast has been announced led by….
Robert Creighton (Broadway's Chicago The Musical and currently in Frozen – The Musical) reprising his performance as the titular role of acclaimed performer "James Cagney" (along with serving as the show's composer)
Darrin Baker (Broadway's Tarzan) as Warner Brothers CEO "Jack Warner",
and a full Ensemble cast.
CAGNEY features a score by Creighton and Christopher McGovern along with a book by Peter Collet. It follows the life Oscar winner James Cagney on his rise to fame. It blends original music plus some of Cagney's signature musical performances playing the iconic George M. Cohan in the iconic movie musical YANKEE DOODLE DANDY including GIVE MY REGARDS TO BROADWAY, GRAND OLD FLAG, and YANKEE DOODLE DANDY.
No announcement as been made on when the show will officially hit the Great White Way.

A WORK OF ART is making its way to the big screen! A film adaptation of the Olivier nominated smash hit musical EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE has officially began filming in the UK. Under the direction of Jonathan Butterell (who also directed the stage production), the new film will star….

Oscar and Golden Globe nominee Richard E. Grant in the dual roles of dress shop owner "Hugo Battersby" and his alter-ego "Loco Chanelle",
Sharon Horgan (TV's Divorce) as the strictest career teacher of them all "Miss Hedge",
Olivier Award nominated star of stage and screen Sarah Lancashire in the role of the tender loving mum "Margret New",
JamieMusical stage cast member Shobna Gulati reprising her performance as family-friend "Ray",
Harry Potter films and Game of Thrones cast member Ralph Ineson as the disapproving and abandoned father "Mr New",
and more.
The film is scheduled to be released later in 2019 or the beginning of 2020 from 20th Century Fox.
Based on a true story that was captured in a 2011 BBC Three documentary, EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE features a score and book by Tom MacRae and Dan Gillespie-Sells. It tells the coming of age story of a 16 year old underdog misfit from Sheffield, England with big aspirations and dreams of becoming a drag queen.
Following a world premiere run at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield in 2017, the show went on to London's West End at the Apollo Theatre where it continues to play to packed houses every night 8 times a week. It's received rave reviews and 5 Olivier Awards nominations in 2018.
Upcoming productions will include a UK & Ireland Tour. In addition, talks are still being made about the show coming to Broadway and Australia in the coming future.
EVERYBODY'S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE was previously captured on film last year. A filmed performance of the stage production at the Apollo Theatre was livestreamed in movie theaters in the UK and all around the World (including North America). It starred majority of the original London cast.

THEY CAN'T GO BACK!!! It has just been announced that due to receiving no nominations or wins at the Tony Awards and horrible low ticket sales, Pretty Woman: The Musical is set to strut out of Broadway's Nederlander Theatre this summer.
Bryan Adams' musical adaptation of the iconic 1990 film of the same name will play its final performance on August 18th, 2019. Following the final curtain call, the show will have played 27 previews and 421 regular performances.
The show will continue to live on with upcoming productions worldwide including a North American Tour, Germany, and London's West End.

BREAKING NEWS: Jelani Remy (Broadway's The Lion King – Musical and Off Broadway revival of Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller) is set to take over from Tony nominee Jeremy Pope as falsetto powerhouse singing talent "Official: Eddie Kendricks" in this year's Tony winning smash hit Ain't Too Proud Musical.
Remy has been with the show about the rise and fame of The Temptations since the very beginning of its Broadway run off as a Swing (which included understudying Pope in the role). His first performance as "Eddie Kendricks" fulltime is set for July 9th, 2019 at the Imperial Theatre.
Pope will play his final performance on July 7th, 2019.
