To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Frank Wildhorn’s haunting and romantic thriller Jekyll & Hyde The Musical, check out a rare music video from the show’s original star Linda Eder performing one of the show’s most beloved songs SOMEONE LIKE YOU.

FUN FACT: Linda Eder was discovered by Frank Wildhorn fresh off of winning the 1988 edition of Star Search. For JEKYLL & HYDE, Frank wrote the role of the free spirited, plucky, and venerable prostitute “Lucy Harris” specifically for her voice. Eder stayed the entire road for JEKYLL AND HYDE from early readings, workshops, world premiere productions, and Broadway.

With being involved with the production, Eder has lent her voice on most of the original recordings for JEKYLL & HYDE including the 1987 Demo album, 1990 concept album, the 1994 complete work album, and the 1997 original Broadway cast recording. She also rerecorded some of her big songs from the show on her various solo albums and continues to sing them in her own concerts.

In addition, Linda Eder and Frank Wildhorn also had a real life romance. They married in 1998 and split in 2004. They are still really good friends, supporters, and great parents taking care of their son Jake.

This music video of SOMEONE LIKE YOU features the 1990 concept album recording of the song.

If you are a fan of Linda Eder or getting to know her, here is your chance to see the acclaimed vocalist back in NYC. Back by popular demand, she is set to return to Feinstein?s/54 Below on June 29th and 30th at 7pm and then return on November 3rd and 4th at 7pm.
