Today we let out some sad meows as the cast of the current Broadway revival of Cats the Musical will celebrate one final JELLICLE BALL at the Neil Simon Theatre and once again descend TO THE HEAVYSIDE LAIR.
Following the final performance this evening, this revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved musical will have played a total of 609 performances. With the show’s original Broadway production that ran for a total of 7,498 performances at the Winter Garden Theatre (initially the first longest running show in Broadway history till The Phantom of the Opera), CATS has officially played a complete full total of 8,107 performances on the Great White Way.
Up next for this revival will be a North American National Tour expecting to kick off in 2018.
