HOCKADOO BROADWAY FANS! The holiday season is just around the corner and we are 16 days away from The 90th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Our TOP 20 BROADWAY AT THE MACY’S PARADE COUNTDOWN continues playing you some of the best toe-tapping performances from the NBC and CBS telecasts of Broadway’s MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET.

At # 16 on our countdown, we go back in time to the 1950’s during the time of the birth of rock n’ roll where a Caucasian disc jockey attempts to play colored music on the radio trying to bring the world together. This is the 2010 Tony Award winning smash hit Memphis The Musical.

From the 2011 CBS telecast, Tony nominee Adam Pascal (who just joined the cast at the time) as Huey Calhoun & the cast bring a little rock n’ roll to downtown park in lower Manhattan with a performance of the showstopper RADIO.

MEMPHIS (which won 4 Tony Awards in 2010 including Best Musical) played Broadway’s Shubert Theatre for 1,195 performances. The Broadway production was filmed for a cinema release and later aired on Great Performances l PBS in 2011. It’s now available to own on DVD & Blu-Ray featuring the show’s acclaimed original cast including Tony nominees Chad Kimball (returning to Broadway this spring in the new musical Come From Away) as Huey and Montego Glover as Felicia. Productions of MEMPHIS around the world in schools, community, and regional theatres are still happening as well.

Who has been rocking out and yelling HOCKADOO?
