Joining the previously announced Adrienne Warren (Broadway’s BRING IT ON and Shuffle Along) reprising her Tony and Olivier Award nominated performance as “Anna Mae Bullock” who eventually grows up to be the iconic Queen of Rock ‘N Roll herself “Tina Turner” for a limited engagement will be….
Broadway veteran Daniel J. Watts (seen in hits such as the original The Color Purple, The Little Mermaid, In The Heights, Ghost the Musical, After Midnight, Motown, and Hamilton) reprising his Tony nominated portrayal as acclaimed singer and musician but also…..the cruel, wicked, horrifying, narcasstic, and the domestically abusive husband himself “Ike Turner“,
Stage and Screen performer Dawnn Lewis (The New York City Center Encores production of The Wiz) as Tina’s mother “Zelma Priscilla Bullock”
and a full Ensemble.
In addition because of the demands of the show, the role of “Tina Turner” will once again be alternated. Adrienne Warren will share the role of “Tina Turner” once again with Nkeki Obi-Melekwe.
TINA is set to go ROLLIN’ back into Broadway’s Lunt Fontanne Theatre beginning October 8th, 2021.
