BREAKING NEWS: COME ON ALONG AND LISTEN TO THE LULLABY OF BROADWAY from the comfort of your very own home. If you missed the one night only screening of the recent West End revival of 42nd Street in Movie Theaters this week. No worries! It has just been announced that beginning May 15th, 2019, the filmed performance the legendary musical will be available for streaming on BroadwayHD.

Filmed in front of a live audience at London's Royal Drury Lane Theatre, this presentation captures the iconic acclaimed 2001 Tony Award winning and 2017 Olivier Award nominated revival. Under the direction of Mark Bramble (who also wrote the book prior to his recent passing) and the legendary choreography by Randy Skinner, the show is also well known for featuring the largest Ensemble cast ever assembled on a grand stage…. a full 50 piece cast (featuring 100 tap dancing legs).

Based on the 1933 movie musical of the same name, 42ND STREET is the ultimate behind the scenes backstage musical comedy set during the 1930's Great Depression. It centers on famed theater director "Julian Marsh" as he tries to mount his latest musical extravaganza PRETTY WOMAN. It also centers on an aspiring quirky but passionate chorus girl from Allentown, PA named "Peggy Sawyer" who enters the show as a chorus line but is up to save the show (becoming a rising star) as the main diva breaks her leg. The show features some of the most iconic songs ever written for the stage including YOUNG & HEALTHY, GO INTO YOUR DANCE, GETTING OUT OF TOWN, WE'RE IN THE MONEY, LULLABY OF BROADWAY, SHUFFLE OFF TO BUFFALO, and the iconic title song 42ND STREET.
