SHE’S THE TOP & she’s back!!!!
Sutton Foster is finally making her long awaited debut in the West End in the London production of the
Roundabout Theatre Company‘s revival of Cole Porter’s
Anything Goes. 10 years later…… reprising the role of nightclub singer “Reno Sweeney” that earned the Broadway favorite her 2nd Tony Award win.
Along with her incredible crew of tap dancing sailors aboard a real cruise ship, here is Foster bringing that Live Theater magic back with a performance of the musical’s title song on
The One Show.
This new London revival of ANYTHING GOES is set to begin performances on July 23rd, 2021 and will run for a strictly limited engagement through October 17th, 2021 at the Barbican Theatre.
PLEASE NOTE: Sutton Foster will still be involved with the upcoming revival of The Music Man (opposite
Hugh Jackman). When she finishes ANYTHING GOES, she will make her way back to New York to start full company rehearsals for that show in time. As previously announced, THE MUSIC MAN will march into Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre this Holiday season. Previews begin December 20th, 2021 and the official Opening Night is scheduled for February 10th, 2022.

Every performer out there dreams of that once in a lifetime opportunity to star on Broadway. It all takes that special spark, uniqueness, and talent to get there. Little throwback to 12 years ago, the Broadway company of
Shrek the Musical teamed up with
Nickelodeon for their NOT YOUR ORDINARY PRINCESS contest.
For those who may not know, this contest was a once in a lifetime opportunity for 2 lucky hopefuls to win the chance to star as both the “Young” and “Teenage” versions of “Princess Fiona” (sharing the stage with Tony winner
Sutton Foster) in a future performance of SHREK THE MUSICAL on Broadway for ONE NIGHT ONLY. To enter, these aspiring young leading ladies had to self-tape a video of themselves singing I KNOW IT’S TODAY (the big I WANT song for “Princess Fiona”) and upload it onto a special website. From there, fans and viewers would vote for their favorites. There would be a continuous process of elimination till the very end.
The winning Broadway newcomers consisted of….
Hannah Beatt from Sarasota, FL as “Young Fiona”
and
Both talents got the full royal makeover getting to spent quality time with Sutton Foster, work with the full company of SHREK THE MUSICAL on Broadway, and more.
SHREK THE MUSICAL ran on the Great Bright Way at the Broadway Theatre for 37 previews and 441 regular performances.
Truly shows that hard work pays off and you can achieve your Broadway dreams if you put your mind to it.

LUMOS!!!! Hogwarts is back in session!!! It has just been announced that the Award winning smash hit
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is set to reopen on the Great Bright Way later this Fall. The magic will resume at Broadway’s Lyric Theatre beginning November 16th, 2021.
However, there has been a little change for the production when it returns….. A REDUCIO charm has been placed on the Wizarding World. The play will now be performed as 1 PART instead of its usual 2. It will be a complete brand new updated version reimagined for audiences to experience the full show 8 times a week.
Along with the Broadway company, the show’s sit-down production in San Francisco is set to launch January 11th, 2022 at the Curran Theatre. From there, the new Canadian production is set to bring that Live Theater magic to Toronto’s Ed Mirvish Theatre beginning in May of 2022. Both San Francisco and Toronto will also be doing the show in 1 PART.
The only companies that will still be doing the show in 2 PARTS is the show’s inaugural production in London’s West End (set to reopen at the Palace Theatre on October 14th, 2021), Hamburg, Germany (set to relaunch its previews on December 1st, 2021), and the show’s ongoing Australian company in Australia.

The 74th Annual Tony Awards is set for September 26th, 2021 on both
CBS and
Paramount+. However, this year’s ceremony is going to be done a little bit different as a 2 PART event. It goes like this…..
From there at 9pm EST, CBS will air a full 2 HOUR Live Concert entitled THE TONY AWARDS PRESENTS: BROADWAY’S BACK. It will include performances from this year’s 3 nominated shows for BEST MUSICAL (consisting of
Jagged Little Pill,
Moulin Rouge, and
Tina), some of Broadway’s longest running hits, and more. From there, it will announce Tony winning shows nominated for BEST REVIVAL OF A PLAY, BEST PLAY, and of course BEST MUSICAL.

LET’S DANCE!!! Live Theater is back overseas in London’s West End. You know what that means….. it’s time to party!!! Last night, the long awaited remounting of the original staging of the Award winning smash hit
Hairspray (starring
Michael Ball and Lizzie Bea) officially opened at the
London Coliseum. We have that first toe-tapping curtain call featuring the cast performing the musical’s showstopping anthem (and very appropriate for the time we’re living in today) YOU CAN’T STOP THE BEAT.
Hairspray will continue to dance its heart out at the London Coliseum through September 29th, 2021.
