We are continuing to celebrate the triumphant comeback of Broadway Theater all Fall long. We are happy to have the long runners we love but also BOTH exciting new musicals and plays. Tonight, the curtain went up on Douglas Lyons’ raucous family comedy
Chicken and Biscuits (starring Michael Urie and
Norm Lewis) which began previews at Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theatre.
Very emotional moment to see the Theater community coming together again. Check out footage from the show’s curtain well. Following the cast taking their first Broadway bows, Tony nominee Norm Lewis (in his first non musical role) took to the microphone giving the WELCOME BACK BROADWAY speech. This particular show is truly a history making moment…. this company has a total of 30+ people making their Broadway debuts (cast, crew, and creative team).
The show will have its official Opening Night October 27th, 2021. It will run for a strictly limited engagement.
Who is excited?!!!
Who unbelievable is that?
