RUN AND TELL THAT! The Tony Award winning smash hit
Hairspray is set to make its way Dancing all across America after a previous rough year. Produced by NetWORKS, this will be a brand new Non-Equity touring company remounting the original Jack O’Brien and
Jerry Mitchell production.
It will feature updated direction by Matt Lenz along with choreography by Michelle Lynch. In addition, casting has been officially announced for the production expecting to feature some familiar faces.
RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s favorite Andrew Levitt (aka
Nina West) will take on the role of the beloved mother with the ultimate heart “Edna Turnblad”,
The Voice favorite Toneisha Harris will star as everyone’s favorite cool, sassy, and soulful DJ “Motormouth Mabel”,
introducing newcomer Niki Metcalf in the starring role of determined 16 year old “Tracy Turnblad”.
Hairspray will embark on its new National Tour this Fall. A preview engagement is set to begin November 12th, 2021 in Yakima, Washington. From there, it will officially open on November 17th, 2021 in San Diego, CA before traveling to over 60 cities across North America.

BREAKING NEWS: Broadway legend Julie Halston will be this year’s recipient for the Isabelle Stevenson Award at this year’s
Tony Awards.
For those who may not know, the Isabelle Stevenson Award is a special lifetime achievement Award given every year during Broadway’s biggest night. It honors a member of the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations.

The 74th Annual
Tony Awards is just 60 DAYS AWAY!! It will be happening on September 26th, 2021 on both
CBS and
Paramount+. However, this year’s ceremony is going to be done a little bit different as a 2 PART event. It goes like this…..
From there at 9pm EST, CBS will air a full 2 HOUR Live Concert entitled THE TONY AWARDS PRESENTS: BROADWAY’S BACK. It will include performances from this year’s 3 nominated shows for BEST MUSICAL (consisting of

Lincoln Center Theater /
LCT3‘s critically acclaimed production of Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu’s
Pass Over becomes the first ON Broadway show to open in 17 months. With this exciting time, it calls for a celebration!!!!
Following next week’s first preview performance, PASS OVER will be hosting a post-show BLOCK PARTY outside the show’s home at the August Wilson Theatre. West 52nd Street between 8th Avenue and Broadway will be shutdown from 8pm-11am. The party is FREE!!! As soon as the 90 minute play performance, Theatergoers and fans will get to party it up with the company. There will be Live Music by S.N.O.B. (DJ Duggz, DJ
Ari Grooves and Emily McGill). In addition, it will also have special to-go menus for purchase from the block’s vendors including Haswell Green’s,
