FIRST LOOK: One of the most long awaited productions set to return to the Great Bright Way that will finally reach its long awaited Opening Night is the new ROYAL musical Diana. We are so excited to share with you a brand new production poster that has gone out for the production.
This poster features the show’s leading lady Broadway and West End favorite Jeanna de Waal who will star in the titular role of “Princess Diana of Wales”.
DIANA will resume its Broadway previews on November 2nd, 2021 will its official Opening night set for November 17th, 2021.
In addition prior before its Broadway return, the musical will release the filmed proshot of the production. It will be coming to Netflix on October 1st, 2021.

Broadway’s back to once again GIVE EM’ THE OLD RAZZLE DAZZLE! Moments ago this morning, the cast of the legendary long running revival of Chicago took center stage in Times Square, New York City to perform at Good Morning America. Check out the performance right below.
Here is longtime leading lady Bianca Marroquin who graduated from playing “Roxie Hart” on and off for over 20 YEARS and will reopen the production next month now graduating up to the role of “Velma Kelly” and the cast performing musical’s legendary opening number…. ALL THAT JAZZ.
FUN FACT: Mexico-born native Bianca Marroquin makes history as one of few actresses ever in CHICAGO’s legacy to have played both MERRY MURDERESSES “Roxie Hart” and “Velma Kelly” in the long running revival. Other actresses who have done this included Chita Rivera, Bebe Neuwirth, and Ruthie Henshall.
CHICAGO will once again have audiences REACH FOR THE GUN at Broadway’s Ambassador Theatre starting September 14th, 2021.

LIVIN’ IT UP ON TOP! The company of the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit Hadestown have officially returned to THE ELECTRIC CITY!!! Check out this emotional video of the cast back at their ongoing home at Broadway’s Walter Kerr Theatre for the first time in 18 months since being abruptly shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, the cast, crew, musicians, and creative team are having re-technical rehearsals running through everything and getting the show back into their system, brighter, and healthy as it was since March 12th, 2020. This is to prepare for next week’s big history making event…. the show’s re-opening night a week from tomorrow.
HADESTOWN will once again take us on the ROAD TO HELL starting September 2nd, 2021 at the Walter Kerr Theatre. Meanwhile, the show’s National Tour will have a preview week long run in Greenville, SC starting October 5th, 2021. It will have its official Opening launch on October 13th, 2021 for a 4 week run in our nation’s Capitol in Washington D.C.. From there, it will be coming to the following cities across North America…..

Musical version of THE KARATE KID to have Pre-Broadway tryout in St. Louis!!

HIIIIIIIIIII YEEEEEEEAAAAAAH!!! It hast just been announced that the Broadway bound musical adaptation of the acclaimed martial arts film The Karate Kid is set to debut next Summer 2022!! It hast just been announced that the show will have its world premiere out-of-town tryout in St. Louis, MI playing the STAGES ST. LOUIS‘ Ross Family Theatre at Kirkwood Performing Arts Center from May 25th-June 26th, 2022.
In case anyone may not know or have forgotten, THE KARATE KID is based on the 1984 Columbia film of the same name. Set in Newark, New Jersey, the story follows a young teenager who is taught how to defend himself against the school bullies by an eccentric, but kind and humble Okinawan karate instructor. The original film was a huge smash, it become an acclaimed franchise with several sequels, a remake, and a TV series.
This new musical will feature….
a book by the film’s screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen,
an original score by Drew Gasparini,
a set design by Tony and Emmy winner Derek McLane.

REJOICIFY! Broadway’s Award winning smash hit blockbuster WICKED is set to DEFY GRAVITY after 18 months of being shutdown. WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER to announce that the company has reunited FOR GOOD and begun rehearsals. In addition, casting has been announced on who will be returning to THE MERRY OLD LAND OF OZ.
When WICKED reopens at Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre starting September 14th, 2021, the THRILLIFYING cast returning will include majority of the cast that will doing the show at the time of the shutdown consisting of…..
Lindsay Pearce (TV’s Glee) who made her Broadway debut as the smart, fiery, misunderstood, and not so “Wicked Witch of the West” herself “Elphaba,
longtime cast member Ginna Claire Mason returning to the Bubble as the POPULAR “Good Witch” herself “Glinda”,
Celebrated Broadway veteran Michael McCormick as “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” himself,
Sam Gravitte as the heartthrob love interest winkie prince “Fiyero”,
Riley Costello (Broadway’s Bye Bye Birdie) as the lovable mere-munchkin “Boq”,
Broadway favorite Michael X. Martin as everyone’s favorite educated goat of Oz himself “Dr. Dillamond”,
and
a Full Ensemble.
Alexandra Billings who was playing the role of the mischievous “Madame Morrible” (being the first transgender actress to play the role) will be continuing with the production. However, she will return beginning September 28th, 2021.
At the time from September 14th-26th, 2021, the role of “Madame Morrible” will be played by longtime cast member Kathy Fitzgerald (last seen in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).
Also new to the cast for WICKED’s return will be Mili Diaz as the spoiled wheelchaired sister that becomes the “Wicked Witch of the East” herself “Nessarose”. She replaces Shoba Narayan (as previously announced departed the production to join the cast of Disney’s Aladdin). WICKED marks Diaz’s Broadway debut after having previously played the role on the show’s ongoing MUNCHKINLAND 2nd National Tour.

DON’T MONKEY WITH TRADITION! Live Theater is making its triumphant comeback with some exciting new projects. Running dates and casting has been announced for the World Premiere of the upcoming musical adaptation of the hit 1988 cult film classic Mystic Pizza.
The production will premiere at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit, Maine for a month long run from September 1st through October 2nd, 2021.
