So much anticipation for tomorrow’s debut of the highly anticipated film adaptation of the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit In The Heights in Theaters and HBO Max out tomorrow.
This show has had an unforgettable journey making the big jump from the stage to the big screen. The life in the BARRIO really began in our New York Broadway scene for a 3 1/2 year run at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
Little throwback to the show’s historical 1,184th and final performance on the Great Bright Way. Check out the cast performing the show’s finale that erupted into a thunderous standing ovation, the final curtain call, and a closing night speech rapped by HEIGHTS creator and original star Lin-Manuel Miranda.
If the film does well, can you possibly see a revival of IN THE HEIGHTS on Broadway?!!!!

FIRST LOOK: We have another sneak peak for all getting us excited for the release of the new film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s breakout Award winning musical In The Heights out tomorrow in BOTH Theaters and HBO Max.

3 days till the release of the highly anticipated film adaptation of the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit In The Heights. Little throwback to more of our favorite moments from Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s powerful musical over the years.

During the show’s 3 years on Broadway, there has been an unforgettable lineup of replacement cast members stepping into the shoes of the show’s beloved inspirational characters. One of them was American Idol favorite Jordin Sparks. Back in May 2010, the NO AIR and BATTLEFIELD singer made her Broadway debut taking on the role of THE BARRIO’S BEST herself “Nina Rosario”. Check our Sparks wowing the show’s packed audiences on the stage of the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

More excitement for the release of the new film adaptation of In The Heights out in 3 DAYS. The film not only has an incredible lineup of newbie talents stepping into the world of THE BARRIO….. there are some familiar faces from the musical’s life on Broadway taking part in this film….. including several original cast members. One of them Olga Merediz who stars as everyone’s favorite spiritual, wise, and caring neighbor of Washington Heights herself….. “Abuela Claudia”.

Merediz is the ONLY original principal cast member who is reprising her performance for the film. Her performance in the Broadway production earned her a 2008 Tony nomination for BEST PERFORMANCE BY A FEATURED ACTRESS… More

NO ME DIGA! These next few days, we at New York Broadway Tours are gonna be posting a lot of NON-STOP throwback videos dedicated to the world of the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit In The Heights in honor of the highly anticipated new film out this week.

What an unforgettable journey Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s powerful story has taken with its success on Broadway and productions around the world. Little throwback to 13 years ago this month when In The Heights took home glory as the 2008 Tony Awards. The show of course won 4 out of its 13 nominations including BEST MUSICAL.
