WE'LL TEACH THEM HOW TO SAY GOODBYE! It has just been announced the sit-down Chicago company of the Award winning smash hit Hamilton will RAISE A GLASS in the Windy City ONE LAST TIME. The production will close at the CIBC Theatre on January 5th, 2020 following 3 years and 1,365 performances.
During its Chicago run, Lin-Manuel Miranda's worldwide hottest show will have been seen there by 2.6 million people, a number nearly equal to the population (2.7 million) of the city. Even though its wrapping its run in Chicago, we know it will BE BACK there but with one of the show's 3 National Touring companies.
The show will continue to play to packed houses here in NYC at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre, in London's West End at Victoria Palace Theatre, and its 3 touring companies traveling all over North America (consisting of the ANGELICA 1st National Tour, the PHILLIP 2nd National Tour, and the AND PEGGY 3rd National Tour).

THRILLIFYING NEWS: It's been a tease within the past few years but it now has been announced that the film adaptation of the Award winning Blockbuster smash hit WICKED The Musical is FINALLY happening. The film is scheduled to be released from Universal Pictures on December 22nd, 2021.
The new film adaptation of the Stephen Schwartz BEWITCHING musical about the 2 witches from The Wizard of Oz will be directed by Stephen Daldry and produced by Marc Platt. In addition, the new film is expecting to feature 2 new songs by Schwartz for the film.

BREAKING NEWS: Dear Evan Hansen's original Tony winning star Ben Platt has officially released the title and date for his long awaited debut album The celebrated performer (who also appeared in The Book of Mormon on Broadway and Pitch Perfect) took to Twitter to announce that his debut album entitled SING TO ME INSTEAD will be released on March 29th, 2019 on Atlantic Records. In addition, he also announced the album's first 2 singles will be out this Friday, February 1st, 2019.
Platt spent an entire year working on this album following his departure from Dear Evan Hansen.

This will also mark as the 2nd major filmed production of CATS. The musical was previously made as a direct-to-video production based on Sir Trevor Nunn and Gillian Lynne’s original stage production. Elaine Paige reprising the role of “Grizabella” (the role she made famous originally in London’s West End),

Not only the direct-to-video production of CATS was released to video, it was also aired on Great Performances l PBS in 1999 which also brought more people to see the show on Broadway and across the country.
