Lea Michele Says She’s Ready To Do FUNNY GIRL on Broadway; Ryan Murphy No Longer Holds Rights

Glee and Broadway favorite Lea Michele is still eyeing interest of starring as “Fanny Brice” in the first major Broadway revival of Funny Girl despite Glee creator Ryan Murphy no longer having the rights.

Michele is no stranger to FUNNY GIRL after singing majority of the songs from the show on GLEE and of course her GLEE character “Rachel Berry” made her Broadway debut in the fictional Broadway revival on the show

Even though she’s been busy with her 3rd major TV show The Mayor, Lea is eyeing a long awaited return to Broadway. She was last seen on there 10 years ago with her breakout performance as “Wendla” in the original production of Spring Awakening Broadway.

If you want to learn more about Lea’s legacy on Broadway even before GLEE, join us on our GLEEKS ON BROADWAY Walking Tour. We will visit some of the real locations that was filmed on the show as well as some of the Broadway houses where your favorite GLEE stars got their start on the Great White Way.

Who wants Lea back on Broadway?!!

Rachel and Blaine are back!!! A few days ago, Glee and Broadway stars Lea Michele and Darren Criss reunited for an in-home jam session.

One song they did was recreating their cover of The Human League classic DON’T YOU WANT ME (which they both sang in the BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL episode of Glee Season 2).

CALLING ALL LEA MICHELE FANS: Join us at New York Broadway Tours on April 28th, 2017 for our ULTIMATE GLEEK SPECTACULAR as we celebrate the release of Lea’s sophomore album PLACES. At 11am, we will kick off the festivities with our GLEEKS ON BROADWAY walking tour (taking you to some of the Broadway houses where Lea and all your favorite Glee stars have performed, where scenes from the show were actually filmed in NYC, and much more). Following the tour, we will walk up to the Barnes and Noble store on 5th Avenue (between 45th and 46th), buy our copies of PLACES, and hang out in the store on line to meet Lea as she signs copies of the album.

Who loves this performance from Lea and Darren? Who is excited to come on our Glee Tour and we get to meet Rachel Berry herself?
