Bette Midler Falls in Stage Mishap During ‘Hello, Dolly!’


THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!! Tony winner Bette Midler took a nasty fall following a set malfunction during tonight’s performance of the Tony winning revival of Hello, Dolly on Broadway. The show was stopped for a few minutes before Midler continued on with the production. Thank goodness she’s ok.

Grammy-, Tony- and Emmy-winner Bette Midler took a spill after a set malfunctioned during a staging of a ‘Hello, Dolly!’ revival on Broadway Thursday evening, according to members of the audience.

Bernadette Peters to Replace Bette Midler in ?Hello, Dolly!?


BREAKING NEWS: In addition, it’s also been updated that acclaimed stage and screen star Victor Garber will join (opposite 3 time Tony winner Bernadette Peters) the Tony winning revival of Hello, Dolly on Broadway as the new “Horace Vandergelder”. Garber will also start on January 20th, 2018 at the Shubert Theatre (same day as Peters begins as the new “Dolly Levi”).

The revival’s current leading man Tony winner David Hyde Pierce will also play his final performance on January 14th, 2018 (the same day as the show’s Tony winning leading lady Bette Midler).

BREAKING NEWS: She’s BACK WHERE SHE BELONGS!! 3 time Tony Award winning stage and screen legend Bernadette Peters is coming back to Broadway for the first time in 6 years to star in the title role of the acclaimed Tony winning revival of Hello, Dolly on Broadway.

Peters will begin performances at the Shubert Theatre on January 20th, 2018 replacing the revival’s original leading lady this year’s Tony winning Best Leading Actress in a Musical herself Bette Midler. As previously announced, Midler will take her final bow on January 14th, 2018.

In addition, this production will mark as Peters return to Broadway’s Shubert Theatre for the first time in 14 years since performing there as “Mama Rose” in the acclaimed 2003-2004 Tony nominated Broadway revival of GYPSY.

No announcement has been made whether the show will continue with a new replacement for the role of “Dolly Levi” or if the show will end.
