Following today’s Broadway in Bryant Park, we had a fun time on our BROADWAY 101 Walking Tour with our new enthusiastic theater loving friends from the Windy City of Chicago. They saw numerous shows during their stay including Beetlejuice The Musical, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and Moulin Rouge The Musical.

FIRST LOOK: You've never experienced a night at the JELLICLE BALL like this. Production is hard at work for the upcoming film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats the Musical. Get a look behind the scenes of the cast hard at work in rehearsal and an early taste of the crazy sets seeing everything through the eyes of a cat. Under the direction of Oscar winner Tom Hopper, choreography by Tony winner Andy Blankenbuehler, and a full all star cast. the new JELLICLE CATS set to MEOW onto the big screen will include….

Dame Judi Dench (who originally was cast as "Grizabella" in the original 1981 London production) this time as the wise and beloved "Old Deuteronomy" (a role for the first time being played by a woman),
New York City Ballet dancer and Tony nominee Robbie Fairchild as the guardian cat himself "Munkustrap",
Laurie Davidson as the CLEVER AND MAGICAL tuxedo cat himself "Mr. Mistoffelees",
and more.
The official trailer is scheduled to be released this Friday, July 19th, 2019.
Cats the Movie will let the MEMORY be relieved like you've never seen it before this Holiday season from Universal Pictures. It will be released in Theaters everywhere on December 20th, 2019.
FUN FACT: This will mark the 2nd time that CATS has been captured on film. The musical was previously filmed as a direct-to-video film recreating Trevor Nunn and the late Gillian Lynne's original staging. It was filmed at London's Adelphi Theatre and starred Elaine Paige as "Grizabella". That filmed performance was seen on Great Performances l PBS and is still available to watch on DVD and Blu-Ray.

IT'S TOO LATE!!! More disappointing ticket sales and not impressed audiences not FEEL THE EARTH MOVE means more closings. It has just been revealed that the Broadway company of the Tony and Grammy winning smash hit Beautiful – The Carole King Musical is set to head SO FAR AWAY this Fall.
The musical which tells the story of the rise and fame of Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter "Carole King" will play its final performance on October 27th, 2019 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. Following the final encore, the production will have played 60 previews and 2,418 regular performances. It will also make history as the 27th Longest Running Show in Broadway History surpassing the original Annie The Musical and the 1998 revival of Cabaret the Musical. In additional, it will become the 2nd Longest Running Jukebox Musical in Broadway History.
When it ends its life ON BROADWAY, BEAUTIFUL will continue to wow audiences across the country with its still running National Tour. In addition, the show will be performed in schools, community, and regional theaters around the world with licensing by Music Theatre International.
What an incredible 6 year journey this show has done for so many people especially for strong powerful women!!!! WE GOT A FRIEND in such an amazing musical and thank you for making us all FEEL LIKE NATURAL WOMEN!!!
