FIRST LOOK: One of the hottest tickets in the Musical Theater scene right now is happening overseas and now is planning make its way here to our New York city backyard. We are talking about Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s new contemporary musical adaptation of the classic tale of Cinderella. The show is currently playing to packed houses at London’s Gillian Lynne Theatre.
To get us into the spirit of this new take on the beloved fairy tale, here is B-Roll footage of the World Premiere London cast in action.

Earlier today, Webber himself announced the show is expecting to make its Broadway next year. No word has been said if it will be part of this current 2021-2022 season or next year’s 2022-2023 season. Talks are also still being made for the show’s leading lady Carrie Hope Fletcher to possibly be part of the New York transfer. If it does happen, it will mark as Fletcher’s Broadway debut!!

Emmy winner and Broadway favorite Peter Scolari passed away at age 66 from cancer

BREAKING NEWS: Emmy Award winning actor and Broadway favorite Peter Scolari passed away today at the age of 66 after a 2 year battle with cancer. What an unforgettable life and legacy he had within the Entertainment industry.
Most people remember Scolari for performances on TV in…..
the hit 1980’s TV comedy Bosom Buddies (with BFF Tom Hanks),
his portrayal of “Michael Harris” in the hit series Newhart,
a recurring role on the hit TV series Girls,
and
recently as “Bishop Thomas Marx” on CBSEVIL.
Scolari also had an unforgettable career here on the Great Bright Way 6 TIMES appearing in BOTH Musicals and Plays. That consisted of….
his Broadway debut in 2003 as “Wilbur Turnblad” in Hairspray.
in 2004 in the short-lived revival of Sky Fox,
in 2012’s short lived basketball play Magic Bird,
in 2013 (opposite BFF Tom Hanks) as “Michael Daily” in Lucky Guy,
in 2014 in the short-lived musical as “Yogi Berra” in Bronx Bombers,
and
last seen in 2016 for a year long run as “The Wizard” in WICKED.

Filmed from the stage at London’s Barbican Theatre, get ready for a DELOVELY and madcap time aboard the S.S. American featuring Sutton Foster reprising her 2011 Tony winning portrayal of “Reno Sweeney” along with Tony and Olivier Award winner Robert Lindsay as “Moonface Martin”.
