Myles Frost Will Make Broadway Debut as Michael Jackson in MJ; Replacing Ephraim Sykes
BREAKING NEWS: Due to scheduling conflicts on an upcoming film, Tony Award nominee, Ephraim M. Sykes had officially dropped out from the Broadway bound MJ: the musical. However, we are so excited to share with you that Broadway has found its new KING OF POP set to Moonwalk onto the stage of the Neil Simon Theatre 8 times a week.
Under the direction and choreography by Christopher Wheeldon, the titular of the late and legendary “Michael Jackson” will now be played by newcomer Myles Frost.
MJ is set to begin Broadway Previews on December 6th, 2021 and will have its official Opening Night on February 1st, 2021.

I DON’T NEED ANYTHING BUT YOU! Grammy and Emmy winner and Tony nominee Harry Connick Jr is set to join the cast of NBC‘s upcoming live televised presentation of the legendary Annie this Holiday season. The legendary Jazz and Broadway star will take on the role of NYC’s legendary depression billionaire “Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks”.
For Connick Jr. playing this iconic role is a dream come true. He steps into the shoes of the unforgettable talents that have brought this role to life both on stage and screen. “Warbucks” is a beloved character that of course becomes the stepfather of “Annie”. The role was originated on Broadway by Reid Shelton. It has later been done so well by Conrad John Schuck (who played the role the longest on Broadway and on tour across America), Harve Presnell, Rhodes Reason, Anthony Warlow, Albert Finney (in the 1982 film), Victor Garber (the 1999 TV movie), and more.
Connick Jr joins the previously announced Oscar and Emmy nominee Taraji P. Henson who will take on the role of the wicked “Miss Hannigan”. The new live production is expecting to star a newcomer performer taking on the titular role of the spunky red-headed orphan that will be found through a virtual nationwide casting call.
Additional casting will be announced soon.
Rehearsals for the new live production begin this Fall 2021.
Annie Live is set for December 2nd, 2021 on NBC. It promises to show the world that THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW. It’s going to be the ultimate celebration of the return of Live Musicals with everything making its way back to normal.

Norm Lewis and Michael Urie to star in new play CHICKEN & BISCUTS on Broadway this Fall!!

BREAKING NEWS: Broadway is making its way back this Fall. Not only we have the popular classics, we got some new promising exciting shows coming as well. The latest is Douglas Lyons’ new feel good comedy CHICKEN & BUSCUITS. Originally set to debut Off Broadway in 2020, it will now make its way ON Broadway playing the Circle in the Square Theatre this Fall. Previews are set to begin September 23rd, 2021 and will officially open on October 10th, 2021.
Under the direction of Zhailon Levingston, the cast will be led by….
Tony Award nominee and Broadway favorite Norm Lewis (Les Miserables, The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, The Little Mermaid, The Phantom of the Opera, and last seen on Broadway ironically at Circle in the Square in Once On This Island) in his FIRST ever straight play / non musical role on Broadway
and
Emmy nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Michael Urie (Broadway’s How To Succeed, Off Broadway’s Buyer & Cellar, and TV’s Ugly Betty).
In case anyone may not know, CHICKEN & BISCUITS is a raucous family comedy centering on The Jenkins, a dysfunctional family coming together celebrating the life of their father without killing anyone. However everything changes when the Grandson invites his boyfriend into the picture.
With CHICKEN & BISCUITS going into Circle in the Square Theatre, it also means that the Broadway revival of American Buffalo sadly been postponed. No word has been said if the production will be pushed for the Spring with CHICKEN & BISCUITS being a limited run.

WORKING MY WAY BACK TO YOU!! Casting has been announced for the highly anticipated return of the Award winning smash hit Jersey Boys returning to London’s West End this Fall. All we gotta say is OH WHAT A CAST it is bringing the story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons back to life.
The show’s London revival will be led by……

JERSEY BOYS’ West End return this Summer. It will begin performances as the newly-renovated Trafalgar Theatre on July 28th, 2021.
The show’s other companies will be reopening this Fall including our very own New York company. The show will resume its OFF Broadway run there at New World Stages beginning November 15th, 2021,
The US and UK Tours go back out to the road later this year as well.
