With the Pasek and Paul musical’s return, there have been some updates made to its 5 year home at Broadway’s Music Box Theatre. Under the direction of Tony nominee Michael Grief, the show will relaunch its Broadway run starting DECEMBER 11TH, 2021.
The cast is still expecting to be the same as it was (as you can see in the billboards of the current cast) prior to the show getting abruptly shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The current Broadway cast of DEAR EVAN HANSEN is led by…..

Broadway favorite Jessica Phillips as “Heidi Hansen”,
Newcomer Gabrielle Carrubba as “Zoey Murphy”,
Tony Award nominee Christiane Noll as “Cynthia Murphy”,
Newcomer David Jeffery as “Connor Murphy”,
Stage and Screen favorite Ivan Hernandez as “Larry Murphy”,
Newcomer Jared Goldsmith as “Jared Kleinman”,
and
Phoebe Koyabe as “Alana Beck”.
In addition, Broadway favorite Zachary Noah Piser will serve as the alternate “Evan Hansen” playing the role at certain performances.
Tickets for DEAR EVAN HANSEN’s return is now available on Telecharge. Currently, the Music Box Theatre is still closed. Announcements on re-opening the Box Office will be revealed at a later time.
Along with the Broadway company’s return, DEAR EVAN HANSEN will also re-launch its various productions worldwide. The London company reopens at the Noel Coward Theatre starting October 26th, 2021. From there, the North American National Tour will re-kick off December 7th, 2021 in Greensboro, NC before traveling to more than 30 cities across both the USA and and Canada.
Most importantly, Stephen Chbosky‘s highly anticipated film adaptation of the musical is scheduled to be released in Theaters nationwide starting September 24th, 2021 from Universal Pictures.
