THE PROM Will Close On Broadway This Summer

THE PARTY IS OVER! It has just been announced that due to receiving 0 wins at this year's Tony Awards and disappointing low ticket sales, the smash hit original musical comedy The Prom is set to close this summer. The show will have its last dance at Broadway's Longacre Theatre on August 11th, 2019 after 23 previews and 310 regular performances.

However, the party that shows the world that LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE may be coming to an end on Broadway. However, the fun is not even over. As previously announced, THE PROM will launch a North American National Tour beginning in 2021 and Theatrical Rights Worldwide has just secured the rights for the show set to be performed in schools, community, and regional theaters everywhere. In addition, Ryan Murphy will be transforming the musical into a film for Netflix.

Who is sad for another great show coming to an end?
